Family-friendly Independence Day Celebrations!

AUBURN  The 4th of July fun starts at 4pm at the Gold Country Fairgrounds with music, food and kids activities.  There’s also a parade at 7pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9:30pm.  Free.

CAL EXPO  The Cal Expo fireworks show is on July 4th at the Racetrack Grandstand. Doors open at 4:30pm and the fireworks start at 9:30pm.  General admission is free or reserved seating for $10, parking is $15.

CARMICHAEL  The parade starts Thursday morning (July 4th) at 10:30am and heads down Fair Oaks Boulevard. The annual Carmichael Fireworks Show is at La Sierra Community Center. Evening festivities kick off at 7pm with food and music. Fireworks Show at about 9:30pm.

DAVIS  The city’s 4th of July celebration includes entertainment in Community Park, then a fireworks show at 9:35pm. Free.

EL DORADO HILLS  The 10TH annual Fireworks & Freedom Concert is Wednesday (July 3rd) in El Dorado Hills Town Center. 6pm to 11pm.  Free.

ELK GROVE  The Salute To The Red White & Blue Festival is Thursday (July 4th) in Elk Grove Regional Park.  Festivities begin at 4:00pm with vendors, food trucks, roaming entertainment, a pie-eating contest, bike and stroller parade, live entertainment and a fireworks show. $10 parking. Fireworks at 9:40pm

FOLSOM  In Folsom the fireworks happen after the rodeo each night, beginning July 4th at Lions City Park.

GRASS VALLEY   The city’s parade is July 4th at 11am.  Following the parade is a traditional family celebration under the pines at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley. Live music and entertainment and food.  Gates open at 3pm. The fireworks spectacular is at 9:30pm. $15

LINCOLN  The city’s 4th of July parade is at 9am in downtown Lincoln. After the parade, the celebration moves to McBean Park at 2pm.  The fireworks show will start right after the Lincoln Potters baseball game.

PLACERVILLE  It’s a 4th of July Family Blast at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds with Carnival Rides, kids activities, live music and a fireworks show.  Gates open at 4pm.  $7 parking.

RANCHO CORDOVA  Rancho celebrates Independence Day over two days, on Wednesday and Thursday (July 3rd and 4th) at Hagan Park, along the American River.   The celebration starts at 4pm on Wednesday and at 10am on Thursday with a parade down Coloma Road.  Fireworks at 9:45pm both nights.  Admission $2 and parking is $10.

ROSEVILLE  The Independence Day Parade starts at 9am Thursday in downtown Roseville.  Then, the Capitol Pops Concert Band headlines the midday activities in Royer Park. And, fireworks are back this year at The Grounds. Gates open at 4pm, fireworks at 9:30pm.  $10 parking  

YUBA CITY/MARYSVILLE  After a 10 year absence, fireworks are back!  The Sutter Regional Fireworks Show is at the Marysville Soccer Fields between the 5th and 10th Street bridges.  The show will be visible from both sides of the river for both counties to enjoy.  Riverfront Park and Soccer fields will be open at 4:00pm.  Fireworks at 9:30pm.

WEST SACRAMENTO  It’s family fun, food trucks and fireworks at 4th On The Field, July 4th at Raley Field.  Gates open at 6pm.  $12

WOODLAND  The bike parade begins at 10am and will ride to the Library where there will be live music, bounce houses, and snow cones. The pre-fireworks festivities begin at 6 pm at Woodland High School. Fireworks show around 9:15 pm.
