Faking Fall. The Sacramento tradition of making our homes look like fall and dressing in fall boots in October when it's still 80 degrees.
This is normal to us, but the rest of the country is laughing at Californians today after news spread that a grocery store in San Francisco is selling a "Fall Organic Leaf" bouquet for $15. It makes total sense to us, this is the only way we can decorate our homes, buy purchasing the fake stuff while outside it still feels like summer. The rest of the country doesn't ge4t it.
This $15 "Organic" Fall Leaf Bouquet that is making the midwest laugh at Californians.
Charging 15 dollars for something that is largely free and widely available in nature is quite the grift. https://t.co/OPsCCHcaTi— VICE (@VICE) October 19, 2020
They do have a point. Back home in the midwest where I grew up, I spent hours raking the 125 million fall leaves in my front yard into giant piles and jumping in them. I should have packaged them up and sent them to Californians! Missed opportunity. What's your favorite tip to "fake fall" in your home?
