Eating your breakfast in peace is supposed to give you a stress free life?! Whoever made this statement must not have kids to wake-up and get to school!
The silent breakfast trend is growing as a way to help you cope with the stress of life in a Pandemic. The practice of sitting down to start your day with a delicious meal without the TV on, without music, just the quiet hum of your home is supposed to reduce your blood pressure, and cause your cortisol (stress hormone) to decrease. Experts say it's close to a morning meditation.
Interesting that this is a practice that many people of faith have been using for a long time. We just call it "Quiet Time." More proof that setting the alarm a little earlier before the kids wake up will make the rest of your day better!
